Overview

Internal examinations are commonplace in a medical practice. Beginning with the initial diagnosis through to after-care, internal examination methods are multi-faceted. During these procedures, the inside the body will be examined focusing on organs, blood vessels as well as ligaments and connective tissue.

In our practice, internal medicine is viewed as preventative health care particularly as it relates to the following diseases:

• cardiac and vascular diseases;
• cancer; and
• circulatory disorders.

Internal medicine examinations include measuring the heart and circulatory functions and examining the abdominal cavity and thyroid. Additionally, the carotid artery, lungs and blood count are examined.

These examinations provide our patients with precise information of any internal changes of concern and to identify potential health risks.
